I am thrilled to be teaching the new integrated math and science lab, otherwise known as the "SMath" Lab, at Vaughan Elementary. I love math and science and hope to instill my love of these subjects in all children at Vaughan.
I have twelve years of teaching experience, and until this year, I have taught fifth grade all of those years. I began my teaching career at Powder Springs Elementary and have been at Vaughan for the past five years.
Teaching is my third and final career, but I've always been a teacher at heart. I worked in the banking field for four years and then worked for the federal government for eleven years. In 1999, I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
On a more personal note, I am married to a lieutenant with the Cobb County Fire Department, and we have a twenty-four year old son.
