Recently the Board of Education adopted revisions to Administrative Rule JE (Student Absenteeism) that include important changes to the protocol. It is designed to address unexcused absences and promote regular school attendance. Please see the attached to discern between an absence that is unexcused and one that is excused. It is very important that you write a letter to your child's teacher when your child is absent. This letter needs to include an explanation of the absence so that we can mark it excused or unexcused per the attached policy.
