August 22 - September 2:
We are reading Country Fair by Gail Gibbons, Fair! by Ted Lewin and Meet Me at the Fair by Judy Alter. Students will illustrate and discuss what they like about the fair and work on identifying, expressing and using unit vocabulary in sentences.
Unit vocabulary:
roller coaster, Ferris wheel, stilts, rodeo, refreshments, livestock, merry-go-round, taffy
Week of August 15th:
This week speech students will assemble their speech folders and participate in activities that focus on helping them to know what they are working on in speech and how those skills can help them in their classrooms.
Beginning next week and for the next few weeks, goals and objectives will be addressed through our first theme, "The Fair!" In Mrs. Gospodareck's class, we will start with "All About Me" activities and then begin our "The Fair!" unit afterwards. Are you planning to go to the North Georgia State Fair?
