Welcome to 4th grade! It is going to be amazing seeing everyone and learning together again. I cannot tell you what a fabulous experience this is going to be for all of us! This is my 5th year teaching at Vaughan and I cannot imagine teaching anywhere else. We have such a wonderful community and involved PTSA that the children feel each and everyday!
Our summer was spent on the Gulf Coast and we were keeping up with the oil spill daily. We experienced" oil on the beaches a couple of days only but I was more impressed with the way the South Walton Beaches community responded. It is a progressive community that will not take 'NO" for an answer. We played lots of tennis and attempted to "learn" Yoly Boarding" which is very hard to do. We love the lifestyle and hope to make it our home someday!!!
This October I will be finishing my Masters of Education specializing in Mathematics Instruction from Walden University. This has taken up alot of my spare time. My research was conducted on Guided Math and the benefits of small group instruction and differentiation in the classroom. I hope to share my new found knowledge with the children and make their learning experience more fun and engaging while at the same time challenge and "push" them to reach their full potential.
Please know that I am here for your child each and every day first and foremost. I love what I do and I sure hope that it shows. Please do not ever hesitate to email me or call me because I would rather talk and resolve issues and problems right away! The best way to get a hold of me is leaving me a message at Vaughan during the day so that I can call you back.
We are going to have the best year together as there is so much research on the benefits of "looping" in the teaching profession. My goal this year is for your child to reach their maximum potential and to challenge them this year in a way that is fun and project oriented.
