Welcome to the new school year! I was so excited to see all of you at Sneak-a-Peek and look forward to working with you and your child this school year. First grade is such a fun year and I'm so lucky to get to spend my days with all of your children!
On Monday students will be bringing home their first homework calendar for the year along with their homework journal. Normally I will e-mail the homework calendar on Friday afternoons along with our weekly newsletter and also post them to the blog. For the first week, I am sending home a hard copy because I wasn't sure I'd have everyone set up on email by then. If you are not able to access the homework calendar by email or on the blog, please let me know and I will make sure to send you a copy each week.
The homework calendar will also list our specials for the week along with any other special activities that are happening. You will also find a copy of our specials schedule for the year posted on the left side of the blog. We do have PE on the first day, so be sure to have your child wear tennis shoes.
