Welcome to our classroom! My name is Jenny Jones and I am very excited to begin a new school year. This is my fourth year teaching at Vaughan, but my 11th year teaching. I taught fifth grade at Blackwell Elementary School for 2 years and 8th grade Reading at JJ Daniell Middle School for 1 year. Before teaching in Cobb County, I taught second and third grades in Joliet, Illinois and Schiller Park, Illinois.
My husband and I are originally from Chicago and moved to the Atlanta area six years ago. We enjoy living in Georgia and have really liked the nice warmer winters. We have been married for seven wonderful years and have a beautiful daughter named Emma who will be four years old in October and a handsome little boy named Danny who is four months old. We also have a seven year old chocolate lab named Charlie.
When I get some free time to myself, which is not too often, I love to read books and entertainment magazines. I also enjoy doing anything crafty, it helps to clear my mind and lets me be creative. My favorite thing to do though is spend time with my family.
I love teaching and being with the students all day. I look forward to a great year with your students, fifth grade is an awesome year for the students.
