~Please remember to check your child's agenda daily. DO NOT sign your child's agenda if he/she has not filled it out, or if it's too messy to read! Together we are trying to teach all students how to be responsible, organized, and neat, so we must teach them that there are consequences for not following these simple directions. Please also remember to write a note in the agenda for me any time!
~Please send all transportation changes in writing!
~Please make sure your child is reading every night. They need to be reading 50 pages or more a week in order to make the 750 page goal at the end of the 9 weeks. Please remember this is a 5th grade standard. All of our children are capable of reading the required pages.
~Your child may have corrected work in his or her binder. Most of the time, students will have a table of contents and papers/activities will be included. Please leave all work in your child's binder. We will clean out our binders after a unit is completed.
~It is a great idea to go over the newsletter with your child and have them put the dates on a calendar. This can help them with planning and responsibility.
