For homework this past week, students researched and completed the first three pages of what will be their Benthic Macroinvertebrate book. The homework for this week will be to research an additional three organisms for the book; however, a great way to go above and beyond would be to include more than six benthos. If your child would like extra pages, please use this link to download them: Download Aquatic Insect Record
The final assignment will be to make a neat and creative front cover for the book and to assemble it so that it can be turned in on Friday, November 18th. That will be the only homework due on Friday, November 18th as that is the day of our benthic macroinvertebrate quiz.
Don’t foget that next week (November 11th) is a river trip; we will leave school around 10:30 a.m., so please make sure your child is dressed for the weather, brings his or her boots and gloves, and has lunch and a water bottle. We have asked students not to bring backpacks because we need their help carrying supplies and River Kid backpacks to the stream; please use a string to attach your child’s boots to one another so they can be carried over the shoulder. You will want to make sure the string is long enough for students to walk while it is attached.
